ABOUT PM SHRI KV PASCHIM VIHAR

• The PM SHRI schools scheme was launched by the Prime minister on Sept 5, 2022. 735 Kendriya vidyalayas were selected for PM SHRI SCHEMES (prime minister schools of rising India).  Ours KV Paschim vihar was one of these 735 selected.
• PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Paschim Vihar is a co- educational institution in civil sector, under the central school organization (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan), inaugurated in June 1996 in a semi-permanent   structure 01 section upto class V.  In 2003 the school shifted to its own building spread across 27500 sq. yard area of land.
• Today the school is well developed in an impressive   building equipped with all kind of facilities, good library, laboratories, smart classrooms and   play-ground, having   04 sections from class I to XII (02 sections of science stream, 01 section of commerce and 01 section of humanities each in class XI and XII) with a   total enrolment of   approximately 2450.
• Girls   bag pipe   band   started   in   the   Vidyalaya   in the   mid of    2023.  Vidyalaya is preparing and training a group of guides (girl students) to constitute the girl’s band which will showcase their musical talent mixed with the rigor and discipline of scouting.
